STUDYING THE STORIES OF THESE ANCIENT QUEENS WHO ALL ROSE TO POWER AT A TIME WHEN THERE WERE NO ESTABLISHED ROUTES TO FEMALE RULE, IT SEEMED POSSIBLE TO DISCERN THEIR DISTINCT PERSONALITIES. WHEN VISUALISING THE JEWELS BASED ON THESE INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERS, WE ALSO REFERENCED THE MATERIAL CULTURE THAT WOULD SURROUND THEM, WHICH GIVES MANY OF THE PIECES A LINK TO THE PAST, EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE BEEN VERY MUCH DESIGNED TO SHINE AND ADORN IN THE 21ST CENTURY...
